Stocking

• Acclimatization : It is done by mixing culture pond water with Fry’s container water gradually with fixed time interval to adjust temperature, salinity, P^H and others environmental parameter. In PL drums, aquarium aeration and larval feed should also be provided.

·         Stocking time: Early morning and late evening. when the pond water  temperature is low.

• Stocking density: After having pond preparation stocking density should  be 5-6 per Square meter or 200-250/ shotangsho.

Management after Stocking

·         In 1^st month water parameter change frequently so check water parameter every day morning 6am and 3pm and take the necessary step to make it stable. Should not 7crush plankton in pond during culture. Dike slope should be compact for reducing water turbidity.

Feeding

Applying a feeding rate accurately depends on an accurate estimate of average animal weight and of the numbers of animals in the production unit (pond, cage, etc.) (survival). Average weight can be obtained directly from weighing . The following table will help you to understand what will be the appropriate feeding management.

Till harvest it will be continued to 2% feeding rate.

Feeding frequency:

13-75 gm feeding frequency will be 3 times.

After 97 gm to till harvest feeding frequency  will be 2 times.

Harvesting

·         Approximately after 14- 15 weeks latter culture period, target harvestable size will be 220-250 gm average. To get better profit always target to grow bigger size for more profit in culture.

·         Finally harvest Telapia without any stress situation to maintain its better quality to get better price.

·         Just after harvest wash & chill kill and finally follow the packing with more ice for excellent quality.
